# Overview of TOWER Ecosystem

Introduced in Feb 2021, **The TOWER Ecosystem** is an initiative by game developer and publisher [Animoca Brands](https://www.animocabrands.com/) to blend traditional Free-to-Play gaming with the Play-to-Earn potential of blockchain gaming. The goal is to build a system that maintains balance and equability in traditional Free-to-Play games while introducing various attractive features of blockchain, including **non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and governance etc**.

**TOWER Token & its utility**

The [TOWER Token](https://etherscan.io/token/0x1c9922314ed1415c95b9fd453c3818fd41867d0b) (or simply TOWER, $TOWER) is an ERC-20 fungible utility token for the TOWER Platform, available on the [**Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Polygon Chain**](/ecosystem-utility-token-tower/getting-tower), designed to be a medium of exchange, utility, and governance within the Ecosystem. It could be Earned by playing the games in the franchise.&#x20;

Holders of $TOWER can use it to purchase exclusive items on TOWER Store, pay for game or tournament entry fees, and participate in the governance of the Ecosystem.

# Getting TOWER

TOWER Token There are a few channels to get TOWER Token from different blockchain networks:

Holding more than a multiple numbers of TOWER Battles Cards grants up to 200% boosts on XP Gain and Daily Star Chest events. # Token Economics

The total supply of TOWER Tokens is fixed at 10 billion, all minted at once on 25 February 2021. TOWER is allocated to 6 pools, with the single largest one being the Play-to-Earn Pool.

The TOWER smart contract uses the same code as the REVV smart contract (another project by Animoca Brands). REVV was fully audited by the CertiK Foundation, a technology-led blockchain security company founded by computer science professors from Yale University and Columbia University and established to prove the security and correctness of smart contracts and blockchain protocols. Players can purchase CDH in-game items with exclusive offers. You can also accumulate “TOWER Hero Points” from every purchase in TOWER Token to acquire Hero Points from [TOWER League](/tower-utilities/tower-league) and enjoy exclusive membership privileges. Every 1 $TOWER Spending comes with 10 Hero Points.

TOWER Merch, TOWER NFTs, maybe even a chat with Animoca Brands staff, etc

# Unknown Device (NFT Fusion)

1. **Fuse Maps:** You can turn your lower tier Map NFTs to higher tier ones with TOWER Tokens

# Governance

TOWER holders will be able to submit and vote on proposals, or developmetn direction for TOWER Ecosystem

Owners of TOWER will be able to participate in the governance of the TOWER Ecosystem. There are two primary governance activities currently in development:

**Development Directions:**&#x20;

* Vote for your preferred development direction
  * TOWER just had its first community vote on [Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/towerdao.eth) and let holders vote for their preferred Game Icon for CDH mobile app's new version
  * The team will have more votes in the short future, stay tuned for more announcements on [TOWER Ecosystem Social channels](https://linktr.ee/towertoken).

**Game Proposal:**

* **Creating game proposals:** owning a minimum threshold of TOWER will enable users to generate proposals for the Ecosystem or for specific games in the franchise.  Proposals can be about anything, such as game features, marketing campaigns, or the overall goals that the games should focus on.
* **Voting on game proposals:** Owners of TOWER will be able to vote on any proposals submitted by the community, allowing a significant portion of the game's development and direction to be determined by the community.


# TOWER Battle Cards

**TOWER Battle Cards NFT is the crucial collection for users to participate in Crazy Defense Heroes Play-and-earn and the Co-op Battle Blockchain Game.**

Cards are key components of Crazy Defense Heroes and Crazy Kings, serving as defensive towers, heroes, spells, and avatar equipment against enemy hordes. They come in different power levels and rarities and can be upgraded for success in the game.&#x20;

In May 2020, Animoca Brands launched a sale of 100 [Super Value Chests.](https://www.animocabrands.com/crazy-defense-heroes-launches-nfts) In addition to in-game content and resources, each chest also included **1&#x20;*****Crazy Defense Heroes*****&#x20;collectible card NFT** to introduce non-blockchain gamers to blockchain and NFTs.

# TOWER Achievement Badge

The TOWER Achievement Badge is a Souldbound Token (non-transferrable) NFT collection that signifies the contribution and achievements of the player's journey within the TOWER Ecosystem.

The concept of **Soulbound token (SBT)** was first discussed by [Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin](https://vitalik.ca/general/2022/01/26/soulbound.html) in January 2022. a soulbound token indicates non-transferrable ownership in the blockchain world that’s tied to a specific person, once it’s obtained, it cannot be transferred or sold to others. The art style of The Crazos was inspired by the ecosystem's mobile game Crazy Defense Crazos are dreamers from a planet far away in outer space with the ability to turn their fantasies into realities. Each Crazo NFT consists of a background, a body, and up to 10 traits. They are all unique, and some of them are super rare.

# Crazy Defense Heroes

Bigger. Better. Even more challenging.

Developed and published by Animoca Brands, [*Crazy Defense Heroes*](https://www.animocabrands.com/crazy-defense-heroes) (CDH) is the bigger and expanded sequel to *Crazy Kings,* launched on iOS in December 2017 and on Google Play in January 2018. Featuring more sophisticated card upgrade systems, resource collection, more items of all types, new heroes, buildings, and spells, a guild system, and over 500 levels of frenetic gameplay, *Crazy Defense Heroes* took the franchise to new heights.&#x20;

A commercial success on both Android and iOS devices, *Crazy Defense Heroes* accumulated over 2 million downloads and generated millions of dollars ([see here](https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/222182/animoca-brands-launches-android-version-of-mobile-game-crazy-defense-heroes-222182.html)).&#x20;

# Avatar XP Gain

The [CDH Avatar XP Gain Play-and-Earn](https://medium.com/tower-token/crazy-defense-heroes-july-xp-gain-reward-pool-comes-with-new-nft-rewards-25a7ae7e018) is the first regular event introduced by TOWER Ecosystem. Users can Play Crazy Defense Heroes mobile game and gain enough Avatar XP (Experience Point) to share the Reward Pool of the month.&#x20;

Players need to hold at least 1 TOWER Battle Card NFT in crypto wallet linked with a CDH User ID to be eligible to share the Reward Pool.

Note that you must **gain** a minimum of 315,000 avatar XP within each month to start earning TOWER tokens. For example, if you started in March 2022 with 250,000 XP (Avatar Level 20) you will need to have at least 565,000 XP (around Avatar Level 29) by the end of March 2022 in order to be eligible to earn from March’s Tier 1 Reward Pool.

**When can you receive the rewards?**

All TOWER tokens you earned from *Crazy Defense Heroes* play-and-earn events, including XP Gain and Daily Star Chest Events, can be withdrawn via the claim system around the 15th of the month following the event. The NFT rewards will be airdropped to eligible users’ wallets by the end of the month following the event.

**Core Gameplay**

Paying homage to the iconic snake games of yesteryear, *Snaky Cat*’s game mechanics are both simple and enthralling. Players start the game with a timer, and the game is over when the timer reaches 0. During this time, players guide their feline snake-like characters to feast on drops of food that will make the player’s cat grow longer. Players can compete for a rare powerup to extend their timer, and they need to outmaneuver other cats, seize the remains dropped by other cats when they collide, become the longest cat, and slither up the leaderboard for a chance to win TOWER tokens. The player must keep their cat from colliding with obstacles and other players, which gets harder as the cat becomes longer.
